Dress Shopping at The Bridal Collection
As most of you know Laurie and Jessie were recently in town to meet with vendors and plan their upcoming wedding. One of the stops they made was to pick out dresses at The Bridal Collection. We wanted to extend a huge thank you to them as they donated brand new dresses to both of the ladies. We all had a fun experience watching them try on and pick out their special dresses. Don't worry, we aren't spoiling the surprise. The dresses that they picked are not shown below.

Evergreen Lake House
The Wedding Pink 2017 will be held at the Evergreen Lake House on Thursday, May 18.
Evergreen Lake House is the crown jewel of the mountain community in Evergreen, Colorado located approximately 40 minutes west of Denver.
We are thrilled to be partnering with the Evergreen Lake House for our next wedding. The venue is beautiful and will be a perfect location for our 7th annual wedding.

Lauren's Experience of being The Wedding Pink Bride

As I reminisce about our wedding, I have to remind myself that it was not a dream. Our flawless wedding was more than anything I could have ever imagined. It was perfect.
My Maid of Honor emailed me the link for The Wedding Pink. I submitted our story remembering that there were plenty of other deserving women. I was in disbelief when we found out that we were selected for the 2016 wedding. We were convinced that it was meant to be when we learned of our amazing wedding venue in Crested Butte.
My friends assumed that winning a wedding translated into a cookie-cutter wedding. Our amazing team of vendors allowed us to select all details and incorporate our personalities. It was an incredible experience to meet and connect with the vendors who donated their time and talent. It was humbling to hear the stories of how each vendor had been touched by cancer. All of the vendors went above all of our expectations. When we returned from our first planning trip in Crested Butte, we were in disbelief that our Pinterest board was going to be a reality at our wedding.
Matt and I had discussed a destination wedding. Our wedding in Crested Butte was more than anything I could have imagined. Crested Butte will always have a special place in our heart and we cannot wait to return. We thank The Wedding Pink for introducing us to a city that we would have never visited.
Thank you Cheryl, The Wedding Pink and our incredible vendors for our perfect day. Cheryl, there are no words to explain our gratitude. We will cherish the memories of our special day forever.

From the Bride and Groom's Perspective
We recently asked Melissa and Rich, the recipients of The Wedding Pink 2015, to share their thoughts and experiences of being awarded the wedding. In case you are new to our blog Melissa and Rich had a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception at the Brown Palace Hotel in downtown Denver this past June.

Reminiscing about our wedding gives us great joy. We were only engaged for a short time and never imagined receiving the amazing gifted wedding from The Wedding Pink. From the very beginning we felt that it was a whirlwind of excitement because we learnt that we were going to be working with amazing vendors in the local area. The vendors were very nice and helpful in assisting us to see the vision of our dream wedding come true. They truly helped us incorporate every idea to assist in making this one memorable and unforgettable event. We never felt pressure to conform to a certain idea or vision of anyone else, but rather we were allowed to really individualize and personalize every detail needed for a once in a life time event. All the vendors listened to our desires and helped create the wedding of our dreams. Throughout the process, Ms. Cheryl Ungar was present for each vendor meeting and whole heartedly invested her time with us to help ensure time frames were met and details were completed, so that the process would be a smooth one. From cake tasting to food tasting, creating our invitations to picking out the perfect flowers, working with The Wedding Pink was a joyful experience. We are very grateful and humbled to have been provided this opportunity.
Each day, we remember the happiness of our wedding day. Being married at the Brown Palace, was a dream come true and beyond our imagination. The Wedding Pink allowed us to start our lives together on a high note.
There was so much joy, laughter and tears that came from entire experience. One would never realize that a cancer diagnosis could lead to so many positive things such as our beautiful wedding and new found friend! We cannot thank The Wedding Pink and Ms. Ungar enough for the generous gift they bestowed upon us.

We all had a lovely time yesterday at the Veil & Vow bridal show at the Brown Palace Hotel. It was also a great opportunity to take a few photos of Melissa and Rich.

Alice's Gift
We had a huge surprise for Erika at her wedding. She was gifted this stunning Todd Reed necklace made of yellow gold, raw diamond cubes and brilliant cut diamonds.
There is a beautiful story behind this. Kelly Karli of Frosted Pink Weddings donated her wedding planning services to The Wedding Pink 2012 and one of her clients read about it on her blog. The mother-of-the bride proceeded to make a private donation to The Wedding Pink in honor of Kelly's grandmother, Alice, who passed away from breast cancer many years ago. Alice was very dear to Kelly and her inspiration in founding her wedding planning company.
Kelly joined us at this year's wedding and presented the necklace to Erika. Our hope is that Erika wears this necklace in good health remembering this special day and all of the family and friends that surrounded her and Mike with love.
Additionally, a very sincere thank you to Todd Redd Jewelry for making this possible.

It has been an exciting year and here are some of the highlights.
Our 3rd annual Wedding Pink was held in May at the Wine Country Inn in Palisade, Colorado. Erin and Ben had a beautiful wedding and celebrated with their family and friends.

Erika and Michael were selected as the recipients of the 4th annual Wedding Pink which will take place this coming May at Crooked Willow Farms in Larkspur, Colorado.

Mini Honeymoon at the Brown Palace
We have been keeping this a secret until we had a chance to surprise Erika and Michael but the cat is finally out of the bag. The historic Brown Palace hotel in downtown Denver has generously donated a fabulous mini-honeymoon package for the two of them.
The highlights of their stay include two nights lodging and Ellyngton's renowned champagne brunch which boasts lavish buffet tables featuring their culinarian's best, including artful and delicious offerings from the hotel's own bakery.
